Should we be polite to AI? | Alina Chan | TEDxDiscovery College Youth

Sometimes, when I’m using an AI assistant or even just typing a prompt into a generator, I catch myself writing in a “please” and a “thank you.” I’ve even apologised when I made a mistake. I was basically using basic human manners on a piece of code that’s non-human and doesn’t actually think or feel. Hi! I'm Alina and I'm from China and HK. I like to eat, I am currently learning to play the violin and guitar. I also enjoy reading in my free time. I am talking about being polite to AI because most people likes to manipulate and use AI just as a tool, and it is.
